Liebe Menschen vor den Bildschirmen,
es geht wieder los! Ich werde für fünf Monate nach Trondheim, Norwegen gehen, um dort mein 5. Unisemester zu bestreiten. Was ich dort alles erlebe, was passiert, was ich sehe und lerne, werdet ihr hier auf meinem Blog finden. Bei meiner letzten längeren Reise nach Großbritannien hat das hevorragend funktioniert, und so werde ich es auch weiterführen.
Momentan bin ich noch zu Hause, aber am 5. August nehme ich in aller Frühe ein Flugzeug in Richtung Norden - und ein neues Abenteuer beginnt.

Kate's back!
Und da bin ich wieder zu Hause. Sieben Wochen, meine Güte, das kommt einem am Anfang so lang vor, doch jetzt so im Rückblick war es viieel zu kurz.
Deutsch sprechen ist noch immer ein bisschen komisch, vor allem wenn es so schöne Wörter wie "awkward" gibt, für die es einfach keine vernünftige Übersetzung ins Deutsche gibt :D
Kaum bin ich wieder da, holt mich auch schon der Stress ein: Wohnungssuche in Hamburg! (Falls ihr da was wisst, freue ich mich über sinnvolle Tipps)
So viel Altes, das mir völlig neu vorkommt, kann man das nachvollziehen? Ich hab wirklich in meinem eigenen Zimmer gestanden und musste überlegen, ob die Möbel auch so arrangiert waren, als ich Ende Juli weggefahren bin :D
Alles, was ich in den letzten Wochen gebraucht habe, hat in meinen Rucksack gepasst, und jetzt kommt mir ein Haufen Krempel hier in meinem Reich richtig nutzlos vor. Da kündigt sich wohl eine Entrümpelungsaktion an!
Wie dem auch sei, ich bin wieder da, zwar nicht für lange, aber es ist schön, all die Lieben wiederzusehen :)
Danke nochmal für eure Unterstützung und euren Zuspruch, wenn ich mit kleinen und großen Problemen zu euch gekommen bin. Thanks to Steph, Jessica, Chris, German, Steve, Cath, Maxime, Jane and David for having, feeding and spending time with me :D I had a lovely trip and unique experiences in the UK! Return promised ;)

preparing my return to Germany
Hello everyone :)
This will be my last post from England! Worked the last day here on God's House Farm today (mucking out the chickens and painting the bottom of stables walls with ugly thick black paint) and waiting for supper right now.
The "Cirque du Ciel"-Show yesterday was AMAZINGLY BREATHTAKING! I've seen this lots of times on TV but live is just awesome :D
I still have to pack my things together and squeeze them somehow into my backpack. I'll do that later ... can't be bothered now; we went for a 2 hour walk with the dogs and after 6 hours working it just makes you even more tired ;)
I also have to get up quite early (2am) to catch a bus to Stansted Airport at 3.25am. I'll have to wait 3 hours at the airport for my flight ... the bus that would've been perfect (just 2 hours of waiting, check-in early after arrival@airport and have a cup of tea or something) doesn't call at Colchester -.-' How annoying!
Anyway, it means going to bed early today. In 12 hours I'll be waiting at the airport and in 24 hours I'll probably have supper with my family in Hanover.
7 weeks have passed; I don't really want to go home but I don't want to stay either. The journal I kept writing throughout my trip got thicker and thicker, there's so much in there: texts from me and others, recipes, tickets, maps, loads of other papery stuff!
This whole thing is one single unique experience that changed as well as molded me.
Sorry, no linking thoughts! The return overwhelms me emotionally, I simply don't know what to think.

Jane told us today that we're actually not going to watch the "Cirque du Soleil" but "ShangHi: Cirque du Ciel"!

... left until YOU clicked my blog 1000 TIMES! Gosh, I would have never even guessed I'd reach 500 :D Thanks for all your support whereever you are in the world right now (lots of kisses to Pia in China and Lisa in Spain)!
By now, I truly enjoy my stay here (although boredom is sometimes inevitable, especially on a warm and sunny afternoon after work when you feel a little tired and dull and you're about to doze off). Max and I have the weekend off, so we went to Colchester today (and learned how to play Canasta from Jane). Tomorrow I'll go to my first English church service; pretty excited about that 'cause I know - in principle - German services but in another language I must be weird and beautiful at the same time.
Wanna hear some other thrilling news? We're going to see the "Cirque du Soleil" on Monday x) Managed to get tickets for one of the two extra shows in Ipswich.
It's a bit frightening to think about returning to Germany. Those 6 1/2 weeks went by so fast, I enjoyed the travelling/1st time wwoofing as much as I do now enjoy the 2nd time wwoofing. There are so many changes coming up and loads of things to settle ... exciting but surely exhausting! Nevertheless, I am OF COURSE looking forward to see y'all again :D Anxiety and pleasant anticipation are the two most dominant feelings fighting in my head currently. We'll see how everything turns out ;)
Okay, there isn't anything else of large interest to tell you and I'm sorry that my entries get shorter and shorter, without further impressions (just bought new batteries for the crappy camera today, hopefully, I can take some nice pictures from around here for you and me ;)).

Uh, geheimnisvoller Posttitel!
Nächsten Montagabend passiert etwas ganz Tolles, etwas Wunderbares; Maxime und ich haben ziemlich viel Glück. Mehr dazu nächsten Dienstag ;)
Es geht mir gut, auch wenn die Arbeit hier manchmal echt langweilig und total simpel ist. Das Wetter ist zur Zeit hammermäßig und ich kann euch ganz genau sagen, wie gut: so gut, dass wir heute Heuballen vom Feld auf den Traktoranhänger geladen haben und als der Anhänger voll war (und damit etwa 4 Meter hoch), haben Maxime und ich oben drauf gelegen und sind zurück zur Farm (die eigentlich gar keine mehr ist, die Milchkühe haben sie schon in den 90ern verkaufen müssen; jetzt vermieten und verwalten sie Ställe an Pferdebesitzer und haben einen ganzen haufen Hühner).
Naja, soweit alles paletti!

hmm...
Tja, da bin ich schon auf der zweiten wwoofing-Farm und somit meiner letzten Station hier in GB angekommen. Die Morgans (Jane und David) sind nett, aber Jane scheint ein bisschen sehr vernarrt in ihre Hühner ;) Verglichen zur Hazel Brow Farm wird das hier wohl eher leichte Arbeit sein; ich habe das Wochenende frei und mehr oder weniger feste Arbeitszeiten. Ich werde gut gefüttert (Cath, you still cook the best!), hab wieder ein eigenes Zimmer und Maxime (23 Jahre), der französische andere Wwoofer, ist auch meganett. Die Umstellung nach drei Wochen in North Yorkshire (hier ist es wärmer und so unglaublich flach =D) bei den Calverts ist grad noch etwas krass und ich denke ständig "Das war bei Cath anders (und besser)!", aber das legt sich in den nächsten Tagen, hoff ich (beim Kochen will Jane z.B. nicht gestört werden; hat mich und Max zum DVD gucken weggeschickt, wie 14-jährige, die man mit sowas immer ruhig stellen kann. Da kam ich mir schon ziemlich dämlich vor, der Ton ist so 'n bisschen "Geht schön spielen, Kinder"-like...) =D
Computer- und Internetzugang hab ich hier leider nicht so frei zur Verfügung, muss an den PC von Jane, Max fragen, ob ich seinen Laptop benutzen darf und als letzten Ausweg hab ich immer noch mein Wi-Fi-fähiges Smartphone :P Alle zwei/drei Tage alles (Mails, fb, Blog) durchchecken müsste drin sein ;)
Mal sehen wie das hier so wird!
